Roman Borsch was born in Saint Petersburg in 1977. At the age of 9 he was fascinated by the magic, and was learning classical manipulation techniques under Russian illusionist Alexander Ilyin.
In 1990, 1991 and 1993 Roman was a winner in multiple illusionists contests, as well as festivals of stage artists in Russia and Ukrain (as junior performer).
1994-1999 – student at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Theartical Arts, under the supervision of A. S. Sonin (director of the oldest Russian circus - Chinizelli Circus).
Scince 2000 – active touring: Jamaica, South Korea, Austria, Finland, Russia…
2007 – participation and first place in the International festival of humor and stage art “Moscow-Yalta-Transit”.
2008, 2017 – participation and first place in Finland illusionists open championship. 2008 – participation in TV project “Suomen Las Vegas”, and “Phenomenon” on TV-channel “Rossia”; participation and first place in the contest held by Russian Association of the Illusionists.
2009 – trick-consultant and double of A. Fedortsov in the movie “Illusionist” (dir. M. Brius). 2011 – actor and illusion effects consultant for the TV-series “Tainy Sledstviya” (dir. M. Vasserbaum).
2014, 2015, 2016 – participating in the project “Best Illusionists of Russia”. 2014 – first place for “Best Stage Magic” at Medal of Merlin.
2016 – regular participation in broadcasts on “TV5” (“Morning on 5”) and “Saint Patersburg” (“Besedka”).
2008 and 2017 – opera “Benvenutto Chiellini” directed by Vasily Barkhatov at the Mariinsky theater.
2017 – tricks and illusion stage effects director for the TV-series “Arena dlya Ubiistva” (dir. D. Averin). Actor in “Nevsky 2” (dir. I. Draka)
Roman Borch the Magician
Duration: 5-35 minutes.
Participants: 1-3 actors.
The show presents a stylized design of the “golden age of magic” plus some hints of “Victorian” style. We can change the trick content, leaving the visual range unchanged. This makes it possible to demonstrate the show both on the big stage and in the format of a restaurant, private entertainment, and even a cocktail party.
Family magic show
Duration: 7-40 minutes.
Participants: 2-4 actors.
Magic show for the whole family. There are several versions of the show. It can be shown on a big professional stage (using large props, costumes, decorations), and on the small private parties.
Magic "a la Russe"
Duration: 5-20 minutes.
Participants: 2-3 actors.
The comic show based on Russian legends and fairy tales. It is created for medium and big stages. The show features Russian ethnic (national) music and a unique style of Russian characters presented in a “comic” style. The trick part is in the format of “stage magic".
Carnival of Venice
Duration: 15 minutes.
Participants: 3-4 actors.
The program is created as a stage show. The main focus of the show is on the dramatic (visual) component, thanks to which it becomes possible to fall into the mystic world of medieval Venice. This show has mandatory technical requirements for the stage.
